Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee and the Scientific Programme Committee, I have the great pleasure of inviting you all to the 19th ESUR Annual Symposium.
This year we are taking the opportunity to combine this prestigious meeting with the 7th Annual Scientific Meeting of BSUR.
It will be an occasion for members of both societies to enjoy the wonderful historic settings of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh which was established in 1506 when it was granted a Royal Charter by King James IV of Scotland.
The Local Organising Committee and the Scientific Committee have organised an interesting and stimulating programme. The main topic will be Imaging and Management of Stone Disease, and will also cover the usual topics and debates in urogenital imaging.
This will include invited lectures and lunch symposia sponsored by our industrial partners, scientific sessions to encourage our younger members and trainees to actively participate in the programme and a series of workshops by experts in their fields.
The Social programme will introduce you all to a variety of Scottish venues, entertainment and culinary delights in the historic city of Edinburgh.
There will be a selection of tours on offer to allow you, your guests and partners to explore our great city and its surrounding countryside.
I look forward to welcoming all in Edinburgh in September 2012.
Sami Moussa
Chairman of ESUR/BSUR 2012
